Minestrone Primavera (4Y-6Y)
We are making the most of the Spring harvest and using peas, spinach, asparagus and broccoli to turn this delicious Minestrone into one of your little one's favourite. We opted for Brown Basmati rice to turn this soup into a stew, often more palatable for young children. It keeps it hearty, though gluten free. High in nutrients and packed with flavours, here is another classic to get your little ones their five-a-day and a wholesome portion of healthy carbs.

INGREDIENTSCanellini beans, borlotti beans, brown basmati rice, tomatoes, carrots, leeks, broccoli, courgettes, asparagus, spinach, celery, onions, garlic, herbs (oregano, thyme, marjoram, rosemary, parsley), vegetable stock (celery), olive oil, black pepper, sea salt (just a little to bring out the flavours!).

PACKAGING: Packaged in environmentally-friendly & chemical-free re-usable tempered glass jars and "Keep Fresh" lids. All of our packaging is suitable for fridge, freezer, oven and microwave. Our glass jars can be returned to us to receive 20p per jar/lid returned (please email [email protected] for details).

Our glass jars are ultra resistant to breakage. The only thing that makes them fragile is violent temperature chock (from freezer to oven/microwave) so make sure they stay at room temperature for at least 10 minutes before transferring. They will also break if walked over by an elephant but the likelihood of that in your kitchen is quite minimal.

We got the Silver Spoon out (Italian cuisine bible), as well as the Reboul (Provenšal cuisine bible) and after a few experiments we got to our very own flavourful and comforting bowls of goodness. Making the most of the Spring harvest, we use peas, spinach, asparagus and broccoli to turn this delicious soup into one of your family favourite. There is a lot of debate surrounding the type of carbs that should be added and we opted for rice (the Milanese option) to keep it hearty, though gluten free. Low in empty-calories, high in nutrients and packed with flavours, here is another classic to get everyone their five-a-day.
